Express Entry Draw: August 12, 2019

An Express Entry draw took place on Monday Aug 12th and the threshold points required to obtain an Invitation to Apply jumped up to 466 CRS points. Dhillon Immigration Law carefully monitors Express Entry draws. Typically, Express Entry draws take place every second Wednesday and we were anticipating a draw last week. Therefore, when one did not occur, we anticipated the points to increase.

For those who received an Invitation to Apply (ITA), most of their applications for permanent residence will be processed in 6-8 months. With significantly shorter processing times than the United States, our office has seen a large influx from foreign nationals residing in American (usually with an H-1B).

Simultaneously, we have been seeing a steady increase this year in the threshold points required to obtain permanent residence in Canada through this popular program.
